而谈到就业方面，不论是在中国还是在澳洲，这两个职业都是未来发展势头备受看好的专业。在澳洲，目前PT与OT的收入水平差不多，均高于澳洲全行业的平均线，属于中上等，而且未来增长势头迅猛，随着工作年限的增多收入也会有提高。职业治疗师(OT)毕业生具体可从事领域包括：儿科、骨科、康复、慢性病、心理健康、工作场所健康与安全、中小学和高等教育、社区卫生中心服务、老年护理服务等等。物理治疗师(PT)毕业生可以在医院、社区诊所和私人诊所等领域寻找就业机会，可涉及领域涵盖患者的整个生命周期(儿科、成人、老龄)下的众多临床领域（整形外科、心肺、肌肉骨骼、神经、骨科、康复、慢性病、残疾、职业和运动康复等）。想要回国发展的话，学习这一领域也同样可以拥有一个光明的就业前景。随着中国经济的腾飞和社会人口结构的转型，OT和PT的就业领域非常广阔。
